Q: Who is Lee Day?
A: Lee Day is a licensed building contractor residing in Mansfield , Massachusetts since 1984. I started Lee Day Interior specialties in 1986.

Q: What type of projects do you do?
A: The Company specializes in quality finished basement rooms. We also construct decks, porches, garages, storage buildings and additions. If you need repairs, or replacement of rot damage, we can take care of that for you also.

Q: When will my job be completed?
A: We will discuss a time frame during the initial consultation. We concentrate on one job at a time, then move on to the next.

Q: Do you do the work, or do you send someone else?
A: I will personally do most of the work that I am licensed to do and capable of doing. I will use my subcontractors for foundations, electrical, plumbing, board & plaster and heating needs.

Q: Who are your subcontractors?
A: My subcontractors are licensed professionals that I have worked with for as many as 22 years. They know what I want and when I want it.

Q: What is your warranty?
A: I will warrant the workmanship on our jobs for 10 years or the life of the product that is installed. Product warranty is set by the manufacturer.

Q: What are your payment terms?
A: On Jobs under $1000.00 it’s usually upon completion unless a custom made product must be ordered. On larger scale jobs usually 1/3 down, 1/3 after a set period in the contract and balance upon completion.

Q: What brand products do you use?
A: We only use quality brand name products from building supply dealers, not unfamiliar products from warehouse type home centers.

Q: Can I put a bedroom in my basement?
A: Every job is different, there are building codes that must be followed, such as egress doors or windows, ventilation and ceiling height, to name a few. I will work with you on what can be done and how it can be accomplished.

Q: Are you insured?
A: Absolutely, insurance certificates will be issued before the work starts. Never hire a contractor or handyman that is not insured.

Q: Are you licensed?
A: I am licensed and registered with the commonwealth of Massachusetts .
